Security

Are my details safe and confidential, and how will they be used?

Magshop maintains the security and privacy of your details with the respect and confidentiality you deserve.

All information you provide is encrypted using the latest Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, ensuring your credit or debit card details are safe, sound and secure.

We recognise the importance of, and are committed to, managing any personal information that we collect in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).  Please read our Privacy Policy for the full details of our guidelines.

Is it safe to purchase online?

We use the latest technologies to ensure your details are secure when you order with use.  Magshop adheres to the international Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) in addition to using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, whether you complete your purchase online, through a mail coupon at an event or via a phone call.

Are my credit card details stored?

No. Are Media and associated development vendor are PCI DSS compliant, and we do not store customer credit card details in our database.  Credit card tokens are securely passed to us by payment gateway provider, Windcave.

Why can't I delete my credit card?

If you have an auto-renewal subscription, we do hold this token within our database, so that we can activate your next subscription term. We don’t hold your card details in full, just an assigned token from the transaction. We only retain this token while the subscription remains in active status to facilitate a refund if required. Once the subscription has lapsed and no liability remains you can delete the redacted card details from your account.  If you have concerns with your credit card, please email our team at magshop@magshop.com.au and an agent can investigate for you.

I am receiving your newsletters and offers via email, how do I discontinue these?

If you wish to unsubscribe from any of our newsletters, simply click the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of the email.  Alternatively, please contact us and we will ensure your details are removed.
